42 dead and dozens missing in Germany floods

At least forty two people have died, and dozens are missing after heavy rains triggered flash floods in parts of Germany.

Local reports say that lot of homes are damaged, and transport facilities are disrupted.

According to the media reports, the deaths reported on Thursday were in the states of North Rhine Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate where around the wine-growing hub of Ahrweiler alone 18 people died due to the extreme weather conditions.
