The villagers of Iruthayapuram are concerned that they are facing many health problems due to the polluted drinking water. More than 35 families living in this village, most of the family member are working as daily wage labourers.
The village located in Muttur Divisional Secretariat division of Trincomalee district forced to use the polluted well water, as they do not have proper drinking water facility.
Villagers said that they have to go to the Manalsenai village to get the clean drinking water, and they required to pay desired amount of money in the neighbouring village temple to get that water.
The villagers requested the local politicians and authorities to take actions to provide the clean drinking water.
