Easter Sunday bombings: People hoists black flags to demand justice

Trincomalee, Eastern Province: People in Kinniya hoisted black flags today at their homes as no justice has been served for the people affected in the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings.

There are also concerns that the real masterminds are being concealed. They demand that the criminals must be found and punished.

Meanwhile, Black flags were hoisted at St. Anthony’s Church in Colombo’s Kochchikade, which witnessed one of the deadliest Easter Sunday bombings in 2019.

Earlier, Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo on Friday (13), said a proper response is yet to be received over a letter addressed to the Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa seeking justice over the Easter Sunday bombings.
