Batticaloa: Thavarasa Sasika, a 16-year-old girl from Puliyadi Street of Puthukudiyiruppu area, reportedly went missing after going to a relative’s house to stitch clothes on August 18th. The family members of the girl lodged a complaint with the Katangudi police station.
After the girl’s father demised, the mother of the girl remarried and living separately.
The girl and her sister were living under the care of their grandmother. On the day of the incident, the girl’s sister went to work, and the girl left home at around 1.30 PM after informing her grandmother.
