Visa services: Indian High Commission receives requests from Sri Lankans

The Indian High Commission in Colombo said that it had received requests from Sri Lankan citizens regarding visa and consular services.

“In view of the current situation in Sri Lanka, where, according to official sources of health ministry of Sri Lanka, the number of COVID related cases and fatalities have unfortunately seen an increase and the presence of globally prevalent Delta variant of the Corona Virus is also established, the High Commission has taken necessary steps to comply stringently with COVID-appropriate attendance and behaviour at the work place in the larger interest of public health,” the High Commission said.

“Therefore, individuals wishing to avail of visa and consular services from the High Commission are requested to plan accordingly, keeping the above in mind.”

“The High Commission would like to reiterate its strong commitment to further strengthening the age-old, close and friendly ties between the two counties by promoting people-to-people exchanges through safe and COVID-appropriate travel,” it added.
