Vavuniya Sinhala settlement village gets new bank

Vavuniya, Northern Province: The Samurdhi Bank was inaugurated at Bogaswewa village, a Sinhala settlement village belonging to Vavuniya North Divisional Secretariat of Northern Province.

The bank was inaugurated by the Father of Shehan Semasinghe, State Minister of Samurdhi, Household Economy, Micro Finance, Self Employment, Business Development, and former Provincial council minister H B Semasinghe.

For a long time, the Tamil people demanded the Sri Lankan government to evacuate the lands occupied by Sri Lankan forces and ask to improve their villages’ basic facilities. But, instead, the government created the Sinhala settlements in the occupied lands in Vavuniya and facilitated the Sinhala community.
