C.V.Vigneswaran, Leader of the Tamil People’s National Alliance, and Jaffna MP said, Anything the Tamils ask for from this government is denied. but Everything China asks for is provided. This country belongs to us too.
while addressing the debate about the Colombo Port City Commission Bill in Parliament he said,
The High Court has tightened the noose on the government for trying to pass the Colombo Port City Commission Act as a matter of urgency. Is this a hurry to form a Chinese state within Sri Lanka? Economically, Sri Lanka has fallen at the feet of China. China announced another loan on the same day that the Colombo Port City Commission Act was published in the Gazette. Sri Lanka has become a debtor to the whole world by hating Tamils.
The Tamils are demanding a joint Samasti political system in the same country. But all that Tamils ask of this government is denied. Everything China asks for is provided. As a Chinese donor, Sri Lanka provides everything they ask for. What happened to the one law for one country? This country belongs to us too. This cannot be allowed to flow. Nor can the monopoly power of the judiciary be eroded.
C.V.Vigneswaran said, draw a new draft about the Colombo Port City Commission Act and give us time to examine it. He also said do not to pass this bill as a matter of urgency.
