Sri Lankan District court in Eastern Province has extended the detention of ten Tamils, including two women, for remembering the 12th anniversary of the Mullivaikkal massacre.
“Valaichenai District court on Tuesday (27) issued an order extending remand of 10 Tamils, including 2 women till August 13, who were arrested under Prevention of Terrorism Act on May 18 in the eastern coastal village of Kalkudah for holding a memorial event to remember the war dead,” JDS Lanka tweeted.
