S.Sajeevan regional council member and chairman of northern Valikamam resettlement have accused that the Srilankan army abducted land belonging to 10 families.
Speaking on the issue, Sajeevan says, the central government has withdrawn its village service division in 2018 which had been working in the Kankesanthurai’s high-security zone area for the past 27years.
During the withdrawal process, 10 families had been left out by the government. Now the Army has trespassed the land maintained by the left out families and made a board notification saying, “this land belongs to the Army”.
Sajeevan also said that they have decided to speak to the concerned officials about the illegal abduction of land by the Srilankan army.
