Jaffna: A complaint was lodged with the Vadukkottai police station yesterday in connection with the attack by Sri Lankan Army soldiers and intimidation by breaking into people’s houses in Ponnalai West.
The affected people have demanded appropriate action in this regard.
At around midnight last Sunday (15), soldiers entered Ponnalai West area, turned off the flashing electric lights on the street, threatened people and searched houses. They also chased and attacked the youths in the area.
The youth fled the area and civilians fled their homes and took shelter in the fields, as they Frightened by the aggressive action of the Sri Lankan Army soldiers.
