Sri Lankan police have arrested a freelance Muslim journalist in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka for not wearing a mask outside his house.
“Freelance Muslim journalist, Shaeer Khan Farookh of Addalaichenai in the Eastern District of Ampara was roughed up & dragged away, Thursday (Sept. 2) by Sri Lanka police who damaged his camera & arrested him for not wearing a mask outside his house,” Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka tweeted.
