A total of 528 samples were tested at Jaffna teaching hospital yesterday. Of these, 93 were infected with the virus.
In the Jaffna district, 72 people were infected. In Vavuniya, 13 were infected. Other 8 cases were reported in Mullaitivu(4) and Mannar(4) district.
Meanwhile, five others died yesterday due to Covid-19 in Jaffna. It raises the district death toll to 218.
