Sinhala chauvinism is more terrible than the Coronavirus. Because that chauvinism does not allow Tamil political prisoners to live in the community, Father Sakthivel, the head of the National Movement for the Release of Political Prisoners, said.
“The coronavirus, which is currently spreading around the world, has emerged as a deadly disease affecting life, and it’s damaging the mental health of the political prisoners,” he says.
He has said that the political prisoners living inside without contact with their family members or community during this pandemic period.
“At this point, it is the responsibility of the Tamil politicians/ political activists to care for the families of the political prisoners,” Father Sakthivel said.
