Eelam Tamil refugees detained in Tamil Nadu’s Trichy special camp are staging a series of protests with a demand to release them from the prolonged detention.
Last week, the refugees were attempted suicide and admitted to the hospital.
In a letter to United States Tamil Action Group and the US-registered World Thamil Organisation, both the Tamil diaspora organisations have requested Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin to release the refugees from the special camp.
