Sri Lankan Air carrier that left for Saudi Arabia from Colombo International Airport in the evening returned back to Colombo due to an engine failure.
The pilot had returned the flight after two hours and 10 minutes after they detected a failure of the hydraulic system. There were 168 passengers, including crew members on board.
This flight was an Airbus A320 and had left BIA at today (15) evening.
Due to the poor maintenance, passengers are scared to travel in Sri Lankan carriers. In a previous occasion, France had detained a Sri Lankan carrier which had an expired safety certificate.
