New Zealand’s first High Commissioner to Sri Lanka met Mahinda Rajapaksa 

New Zealand’s first High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Michael Appleton, met Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday.

“Pleased to meet Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa, today to discuss the future of the – relationship. Sri Lanka’s Education Minister GL Peiris, and State Minister of Money and Capital Markets Ajith Nivard Cabraal, were also present for the discussion,” High Commissioner Michael Appleton tweeted.

“I welcomed New Zealand’s first resident High Commissioner to Sri Lanka H.E. Mr. Michael Appleton along with Deputy HC Mr.Andrew Traveller who called on me this morning. We discussed avenues to further strengthen our bilateral ties to mutually benefit both nations,” Mahinda Rajapaksa tweeted.
