Myanmar nationals continue to seeking refuge in India

More than 700 people from Myanmar, mostly civilians, have entered the Indian state of Mizoram in the past few weeks, a police officer said yesterday.

According to the police, the numbers includes pregnant women, children and senior citizens.

So far, 10,025 Myanmar nationals entered Mizoram as refugees following the military coup.

At least 22 members of the Myanmar parliament are among those who have taken refuge in the state, the police officer said, PTI reported.
