Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, G.L. Peiris, who visits on a two day visit to India has sought a meeting with Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
But diplomatic sources in New Delhi said that no confirmation of the event had been received until last night.
The only two scheduled engagements for Prof. Peiris are meetings with External Affairs Minister, Subhramanyam Jaishanker and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
