The Inter-University Bhikku Federation (IUBF) today staged a protest outside the University of Jayawardenapura University in protest of Kotelawala Bill and urging the authorities to release arbitrarily arrested students union leaders, Daily Mirror reported.
The Sri Lankan students, teachers community fears that the bill could pave the way for privatization of the higher education sector and militarisation of universities.
