Kabul Airport Explosions: ‘We will hunt you down,’ US president warns IS

United States President Joe Biden warned the attackers that the US will hunt down those responsible for the Kabul explosions.

“To those who carried out this attack, as well as anyone who wishes America harm, know this: We will not forgive; we will not forget,” Biden said.

He further says, “We will hunt you down and make you pay. I will defend our interests in our people with every measure at my command.”

In a speech from the White House on Thursday, Biden confirmed that the bombings were carried out by the Islamic State in Khorasan Province, ISKP (ISIS-K), ISIL’s affiliate in Afghanistan.

The total death toll hits 85, of which 72 were Afghans, and 13 were US soldiers. According to the media reports, it is the worst single-day loss for American troops in Afghanistan since the August 2011 attack on a Chinook helicopter that killed 30 service members.
