A civil activist has been abducted in Sri Lanka today

A civil activist, Asela Sampath has been abducted by some 20 unidentified persons in a white Van (NE 0833) around 8.30 pm today after assaulting him and his family members. A complaint has been lodged to the police. 

The abduction has been reported by his daughter, Agra Dinithiri in the social media on the eve of the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. Asela Sampath has been in the forefront organizing many demonstrations against the current Sri Lankan regime.
