Sri Lankan PM Mahinda Rajapaksa to visit occupied Tamil homeland

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa plans to visit Jaffna on July 31 and August 1.

Sri Lankan Government’s Resettlement Facilitator to the North and East and Coordinating Secretary to the Prime Minister, Geethanath Cassilingham, confirmed this on Twitter, “This will be his first visit to the district since the Podujana Party government was elected last year.”

“The visit will include Prime Minister inaugurating a desalination plant in Thalaiyadi & handing over houses and deeds to newly resettled families in the district,” Cassilingham tweeted.
