Sri Lankan Army doing cultivation in occupied Tamils’ lands

The Sri Lankan Army has engaged in agricultural activities in the lands occupied under the guise of national security in Palali, Jaffna. The army is setting up agricultural farms and livestock farms in those lands.

The army has acquired a large extent of civilian lands surrounding the Palali Security Forces headquarters and declared it a High-Security Zone (HSZ).

People living in those areas have been staying in internally displaced camps, relative houses and rented houses for more than 32 years are now shocked to hear that the army is selling the capsicum cultivated in their lands.

They have also been holding protests for more than 11 years, demanding to resettle them in their lands.
