The ruling Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna(SLPP) Party’s Member of Parliament Jayantha Katagoda resigned from his post to give way for Basil Rajapaksa.
“I happily handed over my resignation letter to the parliament general secretary today, for Minister Basil Rajapaksa, who is to enter parliament for the sake of the party and the country,” Ketagoda said the NewsFirst.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam has confirmed the resignation of Jayantha Katagoda.
