Ceylon Teachers’ Union organized a protest today at Jaffna demanding the release of Union’s General Secretary Joseph Stalin.
The protestors have raised slogans against the illegal arrest of Joseph Stalin, the militarization and privatization of education, the Sri Lankan government’s repression.
The protest was attended by the Ceylon Teachers’ Union teachers, representatives of public bodies and representatives of political parties, including MP Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam.
