Sri Lanka: Covid-19 lockdown extends till September 6

The ongoing Covid-19 lockdown in Sri Lanka has been extended till September 6, the country’s Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella declared.

The current COVID curfew will continue till Monday, September 6, following an observation that Sri Lankan citizens have not taken the curfew to heart. In order for this to be effective, I urge again to refrain from unnecessary travel, work from home and abide by the curfew,” the minister said.

Lankan President and War Criminal Gotabaya Rajapaksa decided to extend the lockdown at the COVID-19 Task Force meeting held today.
