Sri Lanka and India explore deepening of cooperation

India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Monday (Dec.18) met with the Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Indian minister said he has had a ‘good interaction’ with the Sri Lankan delegates who are in New Delhi on an official visit..

Dr. Jaishankar also appreciated the warm sentiments expressed by the delegates about India’s unwavering support for the island nation in its economic recovery process.

The two sides have also explored further deepening of cooperation in various sectors including investments, tourism, projects and people-to-people exchanges.
