Protests continue, people want Gota to step down

Sri Lankan Public protests demanding the dismissal of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the government continue for today (04) in several place, demanding the government and the Sri Lankan President to resign.

Unorganised people with no political affiliation are taking to the streets demanding the stepping back of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and not any Cabinet swap or a coalition government, said Leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan central bank governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal said he had tendered his resignation to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
