Tamil Homeland Disappeared Association said that the key to finding the missing persons lies in the Rome Statute, not in Sri Lanka’s Office of Missing Persons.
While addressing the press on September 21, the association representative says, “First, Sumanthiran and G.L. Peiris should make Sri Lanka a member of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Then, Sumanthiran can file a case against those who committed war crimes.”
The association further said that after Sri Lanka signs the Rome Statute, we can prepare to prosecute those who killed our 146,000 Tamils.
“If Sumanthiran can’t be able to request Sri Lankan to sign the Rome Statute, please leave the Tamils and return to your house. You are not representing Tamils; you are destroying the Tamil side.”
