Indian navy and genocidal Sri Lankan navy virtually meets

A meeting between the naval representatives of India and Sri Lanka was held virtually today. The two countries have discussed matters of common concern and effective surveillance along the International Maritime Boundary Line.

“The 31st International Maritime Boundary Line Meeting between reps of India & Sri Lanka was held in Virtual mode today. The meeting was led by RAdm Puneet Chadha, Flag Officer Tamil Nadu Area and RAdm UVMP Perera, Commander Northern Naval Area,” Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka tweeted.

It may be noted that the fishermen from Nagapattinam, Rameswaram, and other areas of Tamil Nadu were attacked by the Sri Lankan Navy at Kattachatheevu last week. Around 20 boats and 40 fishing nets were damaged bringing in huge losses to the fishermen.
