GERMANY: Tamil refugee to be deported has been released

In the wake of the deportation of Eelam Tamil refugees from Germany for the second time this year tomorrow 9/6/2021, the Bremen Human Rights Organization, along with several other human rights organizations has been staging a protest from yesterday in front of a detention camp in Pforzheim, Germany where some of the deported refugees are being held.

Selvan Sellathurai, a Tamil refugee who was to be deported tomorrow, has been released following an attempt made by Viraj Mendis of the Bremen Human Rights Organization.

It is noteworthy that the German people are also participating in the struggle which will continue till tomorrow afternoon.

Earlier on March 13, Germany deported about 25 Eelam Tamil refugees amid heavy protests.
