The Colombo Magistrate’s Court yesterday rejected the bail application of MP Rishad Bathiudeen’s wife Ayesha Shiabdeen and her father Mohamed Shiabdeen.
They were arrested in connection with the death of a 16-year-old domestic worker, Jude Kumar Ishalini, at the MP’s residence.
The lawyer appeared for MP’s wife requested the court to release them on bail, considering that they had not received the coronavirus vaccine. But, the court rejected their bail applications.
