China wants to maintain relationship between Jaffna and China. Chinese ambassador to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong said that he was commenting to the media after visiting the public library.
This is my first visit to Jaffna. Today I am delighted to visit the Jaffna Public Library which has a long history. I inquired about the current condition of the Jaffna Library with the Mayor of Jaffna and the Commissioner of the Jaffna Municipal Council. They had explained to us the full details of the library. We want to maintain contacts between Jaffna and China in the near future, he added.
We would like to thank Ambassador who gave computers and many other books for Jaffna library and I also asked him to help us to upgrade virtual library services, Jaffna Mayor Manivannan told to Chinese ambassador.
Chinese ambassador has also honored with Tamils’ traditional welcome. He also visited Nallur Murugan temple with his team.
