Another call for sanction on Sri Lankan war criminal

British parliamentarian for Harrow West, Gareth Thomas has called for sanctions on Sri Lankan army commander Gen. Shavendra Silva, an accused war criminal.

Silva was the commander of Sri Lanka’s notorious 58th division during the war.

Silva carried out “extrajudicial killings and extensive use of torture, deliberate attacks on civilian targets, including hospitals, no fire zones and the use of weapons that have been banned internationally, such as white phosphorus and cluster munitions”, he further added.

British MPs have been making this type of call for some time but the British Government are continuously supporting war crimes done by the Sri Lankan regime and its forces.
