The flight operations of Sakurai Aviation Ltd have been suspended with immediate effect until the investigations conducted into the recent emergency flight landings are completed, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Director General said.
A private light aircraft of Sakurai Aviation Cessna 172 has made an emergency landing in the Dagonna area, Kimbulapitiya today afternoon. The four on board have been hospitalised and three have sustained injuries.
A light training Aircraft belonging to the Sakurai Aviation also made an emergency landing on Beruwala, on December 22.
847 incidents related to gas cylinder explosions has been reported during the period of 6 months. Now, two aircrafts had accidents within one month and the Aviation Company shut its door.
