Activists pay tributes at Nanthi Lagoon despite military harassment

Former Northern Provincial Council member Durairasa Ravikaran today (27) paid floral tributes at Nandi Sea for the relations who lost their lives in the midst of military harassment.

Today marks Remembrance, when Tamil people across the globe honour those who have lost their lives in war.

As he commented after paying tribute, the Nanthi Sea (Nanthi lagoon) was a silent witness to the tragic finale of our glorious history. He said that he worshiped this seaweed which was mixed with tears and blood of many of our relations and paid floral tributes to our relations who survived.

Kariduraipatru Pradeshiya Sabha member Chinnarasa Lokeswaran and social activist Padmanathan Subakaran also participated in these tributes.
