Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting on Friday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and key international issues, with particular focus on the recent U.S.-Iran tensions and their implications for regional stability.
Pakistan has maintained diplomatic engagement with both Tehran and Washington, consistently calling for restraint, dialogue, and a peaceful resolution to disputes. Islamabad has reiterated the importance of de-escalation and regional stability amid heightened tensions.
The meeting reflects continued consultations between Iran and Pakistan on shared regional security concerns and their commitment to maintaining close diplomatic coordination through multilateral forums such as the SCO.
